I am 28 years old, and I was born and raised in Norway, in the beautiful city of Tromsø! 

I am a Norwegian teacher, and 6 years ago, I started teaching online. My mission is to continue to spread my love for the Norwegian language to as many people as possible worldwide, and most importantly, help them to have fun along the way!

I started out providing Skype lectures to expats and people who were simply in love with Norway and its language. I loved the feeling of helping people with individual lectures!

However, I realized that I wanted to help even more students, and that’s why I started making online courses!

So far, I am very proud to say that I have helped more than 2000 students from many different countries through my online courses, and there is nothing that makes me happier than seeing them become fluent in Norwegian and achieve all their goals!

This video shows you how the platform works, including its videos and the additional materials. 

The on-demand content is divided into multiple sections, containing everything that is already available on the platform: the 200+ video lessons, the 1000+ exercise sets, and the 1000+ flashcards. The sections don’t have to be watched in any particular order, but I encourage you to focus on the new content that will be released every month so that you’ll be focusing on the same materials as your fellow members, and you’ll find the same themes in the monthly live sessions and essays. Remember that you can always go back and watch the lessons as many times as you need.

All the videos are in FULL HD, and it's possible to regulate the speed, sound, and quality. In all my videos I try to use as many visuals as possible. At the same time, you can also see me talking directly to you, making the lessons as engaging and fun as possible.

In the videos and live lessons, I speak slowly and clearly, so you don’t need a high level of Norwegian to participate. Anyone from a beginner level, up to advanced could benefit from the community, as long as they are not starting from absolute zero :)

Speaking

You will have the chance to put everything you learn into practice, right away! Say goodbye to feeling awkward and shy when you have to speak to locals, talk to your friends, or make an important phone call. You will gradually gain all the confidence you need, starting with simple conversations with people who are learning like you!

Listening

We’ll do a lot of listening exercises that will help your ears get used to all the peculiar sounds of the Norwegian language, familiarise with the way people pronounce words and recognize all of them, even when the conversation sounds very fast. You’ll be able to participate in conversations with your Norwegian friends sooner than you think!

Writing

Writing is a great way to activate your vocabulary and start incorporating it into your active language. After going through the monthly curriculum, you’ll be able to participate in the monthly challenge, which consists of writing a short essay that I will give you feedback on, so you can understand all your areas of improvement and learn from your mistakes

Reading

We’ll analyse short texts on a wide range of topics that will help you to familiarise yourself with the written language and learn new words and expressions directly in the context where they are used. With practice, reading in Norwegian will become natural and you’ll start appreciating books, magazines and articles in their native language!
